Heatsink specs with more powerful processors. I bought the best price per performance cpu. but I left myself a lot of room for upgrades in the future. I have the 120 extreme, the bottom line in the graph :) http://www.anandtech.com/casecooling/showdoc.aspx?i=2981&p=3

as much as I've heard about the game in the last couple of weeks I'd be really tempted to pick it up... if it was out on the 360. Oh well, no shortage of other games needing my time and money.

https://secure.newegg.com/NewVersion/Wishlist/PublicWishDetail.asp?WishL... Note that when I bought these parts there were more instant rebates on them then now. Also there were more mail in rebates, such as the memory had a $45 rebate. I bought Nexus 120mm fans from endpcnoise.com. This computer should be really quiet. I hear the EVGA 8800 has one of the quietest fans for 8800 cards. In a previous blog you see I have a Corsair 540HX psu. Because of the motherboard design and heat sink design I might have to pick up a small 40mm fan to cool the chip set heat sinks. I also picked up a battery backup at last minute, that's what put me over budget. But I realized I needed a new one. I know I could have ditched Office to stay under budget but I really like 2007. I have it at work and to me the new layout is more logical. The parts I got are what are popular at silentpcreview.com In fact, here's a pic of a computer that is similar to what I got. Same case and heatsink at least, the first one has mostly the same parts. http://www.silentpcreview.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=41799 http://www.ajcgi.co.uk/xs/case4.jpg http://img510.imageshack.us/my.php?image=pictureps6.jpg http://img457.imageshack.us/my.php?image=picture001sd2.jpg That last pic is basically how mine will look. Since I only have one or two hdds and I will put them in the bottom the motherboard areas should be pretty clear of cables.

I'm actually looking at getting an OLD computer, an Amiga 500. Someone in my area has one for sale.

Amigas were good machines. Amiga Lemmings is still the best variation.
