And the award for best series tag line goes to....The Baby Borrowers.

While watching Deal or No Deal with the Mrs. last night, we saw the teaser video below for this new show coming next month on NBC.  Now I'm not sure who these teenagers are, or how they got the idea that they could be parents stuck into their heads, but OMFG are they in for a surprise.  Based on the couples bios, the general uniting theme is they want to prove to themselves and others (namely, their own parents) that they are responsible adults capable of managing "adult" life.  Again...are they in for a surprise.

What is being sold as a social experiment yanks these unsuspecting, or at least unknowing teens, out of their normal life with few responsiblities and thrusts them head first into parenthood and what I would call "the real world".  They are given a house on a cul-du-sac, go through a short stint of "pregnancy" with the 'ol sympathy belly on the woman, and then delivered a 6-11 month old baby to deal with for three days.  Fortunately, this is all done under 24-hour supervision from a team of nannys, and the real parents living next door and watching on CCTV and able to step in on a moments notice.  One teen of the couple even has to get a day job and leave the partner to weather the storm alone during the day.    If that wasn't enough, every three days the child will 'graduate' in stages, being replaced by the next stage of development - from toddler, to 'tween', to teenager with tag along pet, and even then to senior citizen.

As someone who started the parental journey very young (I was 22, my wife 19), this is going to be a riot to watch primarily because we lived through this.  I think the amount of shock and awe on these kids faces will be priceless as they are forced to wake up to reality.  I'll be tuning in for sure.

I'll be watching! I'm a reality TV junkie, and I love watching normal people in abnormal (for them) situations.

Bwahahahahaha! The next 'train-wreck' reality show looks pretty good from the teaser. Guess I'll watch a couple shows and see how the network ruins it.
