Another new sketch

Another new sketch for this week. Its a female version of the Silver Surfer. I have always wanted to do a SS piece and will someday soon. Im not all that happy with this sketch. I was working with a reference pic of a girl surfing that seemed to have allot more energy and interest in the image. Either I was wrong or I have failed to capture it with my pencil. :lol: But its a bit flat. Ill try to do another that is more extreme and exciting.

Im also going to make A comic book recommendation today. Im not big on religion, but I have to admit that allot of its imagery and stories make for great comic book material. I recently read the 4 trade paperback collections of a book called Strange Girl. it's about a girl that doesn't get chosen during the rapture and stays behind on the earth as it becomes run by demons. Its very, very good. The art is a bit expressionistic and different. The story moves along fast and has lots of good twists, humor and characters you grow to care about. I highly recommend it.
