HALO ART WK#10 & #11 MC ready for his close up!

As I mentioned in yesterdays post I fell behind 2 weeks on my Halo art posts. If you read my blog post yesterday you know whats been going on and why the delay. so I wont bore you again. Lets just get to the work. :-) This post is covering weeks 10 and 11 that I missed and then Friday I will post more work for this week, which is week 12. Some how I screwed up, ( not a surprise to my ATeam Clan brethren :lol: :lol: ) because I original claimed when I started this that it would be 12 weeks. But I still have one more week after this 12th week??? Obviously my math skills are about as good as my Halo skills, that is to say, shitty! :lol: :lol: So it looks like the final count will be 13 new Halo pieces. In actuality I am hoping to end up having produced more then that because on a few weeks I posted multiple roughs or pencil sketches that I plan to bring to full color.

Week #10 I wanted to create an in your face kind of composition. I have seen a number of great images created of MC with cool reflections in his visor. So that was my inspiration for this piece. Larger image here.


Lots of people have told me they like seeing the progression and development of a piece. so, here are the inks of the above piece , prior to coloring.

Here are the pencils the inks where done over, for the above piece.

And this was the initial concept quick thumbnail I did to get the idea down. As you can see i actually ended up cropping in much tighter on the final piece. I wanted to make it real personal and in your face. As well I wanted you to be able to really see the Banshee reflections in his visor.

Week #11. My favorite and lucky number I might add :lol: I call this concept "Flags" Here MC is jumping into the fray , leaping over a bunch of charging troops carrying flags into battle. This piece is going to be used in the upcoming project I mentioned yesterday that I am collaborating with Darth Cestual on. The flags play an important role in this image, but what that role is you will have to wait and see. :-)
