Max and The Master Chief Reunited!!

Before Christmas i got a PM from a fellow member of the site. His gamer tag is GUNTAG. His name is Dominic. It turns out he is both a fan of my work and good friends with a mutual friend, fellow 2old2play member and Clan mate, DanLeCrinque. Dan, as some of you might know, has recently become a daddy. His son Max is now about 18 months or so I suspect. You can see pics of baby Dan at his Blog. Any way, Dominic commissioned me to illustrate Dan's son hanging out with The Master Chief as a christmas gift for Dan. I think the story goes that while they were waiting for little Dan to arrive and he didn't have a name yet, so they used to refer to him as Master Chief. :lol: :lol: Being a father myself, a Halo addict and friend to Dan, I took my time and tried to do the best job I could for such a cool gift. Needless to say Dan didn't get this in time for the Holidays, :lol: :lol: but its now finished and will be shipping north to the Maple Leaf country this week. I asked Dan if it was alright to Blog about this and share the process and finished work with the site. He said go for it. :P On a happy and sad note, Dominic had to leave in the middle of this project and isn't an active member of the site anymore. Thats because he got an opportunity to try out for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and become a Mountie!!! How cool is that. He cant be reached at the site anymore I think, but he told me he would be trying to update a blog he set up to keep everyone up to date with how his training is going. So if your interested check it out and post up some 2o2p support to a fellow member doing what he always dreamed of doing.

I haven't forgotten about you J-Cat! :P Im working on the inks for the Ms Marvel piece. I should be able to post them here soon. I also just picked up a commission to do a Star Wars Clone Commando illustration. The rough sketches are with the customer now and I hope to give you all a peek at those soon too. Lastly i have been itching to get back to my Dark Knight Spartan story so look for a new installment on that soon. :D

Now on to the art. Im posting up the finished piece, followed by the tight pencils, than the developmental sketches, and initial rough thumbnail. Let me know what you guys think.
