Pencils for Section 3 Cover

Well I took a few weeks off from Halo art. I was getting a bit burned out on it to be honest. But Im back in the saddle so to speak. :lol: Some of you may have been following the exploits of the comic book style adventures of the Section 3 crew. Its an on going Halo 3 based comic story created using still shots captured from actual game play and then cartoonized in photoshop and dialogue added. Its created by a fellow 2old2play member V10L3N7_JAY. He has created a cool web site to host the comic and if you haven't seen it yet you should stop reading this blog and go check it out! :-)

Ok now that your back, I think his work is very cool and I support his effort to create new Halo stories and a new universe from the amazing theater function in H3. So I contacted him and offered to create a cover for the opening page of his site. Below are the pencils for the planned cover concept. The character blasting his SMG's at us is based on the look and design of his main character. Ill color it and then create a cover design like I did for the Dark Knight Spartan cover a few weeks back here at Bats Blog, with a logo treatment and typical retro comic book treatment.
