Shared on Wed, 02/06/2008 - 12:22Ok its been a little over a month, shame on me!!! There is no excuse!! I have been delinquent in my posting of new art. I hang my head in utter shame. I realize that I still need to color the Female Spartan piece Blogged below and my apologies to V10L3N7_JAY for not yet completing the section 3 cover I penciled below. I appreciate your patients dude :-) I will get it done , I promise. :-) Ok Now that we got all the self loathing out of the way, Time for some new stuff.
First off props out to fellow 2o2p member Wilderz for his beautiful Blog post of a new Werwolf sketch he is working on. Great stuff Wilderz!! Now lets see that puppies feet!   If you missed it, take a peek HERE! I'ts beautifull!!
I am a big fan the artist Travist Charest. I have posted about him before. He has a long running online comic story called SPACEGIRL, that is told in single panel installments. Its a thing of beauty and I highly recommend you check it out. I decided to try his single panel, b&w, format to create my own on going online comic story, based on the Dark Knight Spartan character I created, here at 2old2play! :D . I figure it will be good practice as well as a way to pay tribute to Travist's spectacular SPACEGIRL work. It's also more realistic for me to do something in single panel installments. ( considering how slow i am of late! ) I just want to point out that this is a homage to SPACEGIRL, and is being done solely for myself, as practice, as self promotion and for fun. All copyrights and TM's belong to their respective owners. So without further adue, I bring you "TALES OFTHE DARK KNIGHT SPARTAN" Episode #1 ( hopefully it wont be months or years before Episode #2    )
See a larger, readable version HERE!
In other news, I added a new gallery at studiokm. Its of all the super-hero based art I created for the game review Web Site, Game Almighty.com. I have posted some of it here before but now its all together and easy to view at my site. Check it out if your interested HERE! Definetly visit GAMEALMIGHTY.COM its a really cool and original game review site. I worked hard on developing the comic book look and feel for their site, and they are struggling a little bit right now with visitors and membership so if you want to join up, its free, and it would be greatly appreciated :-)
I also recently updated my comicbook galleries. I hope you'll give them a peek. I posted up the first 6 pages of a short story created for a comic book anthology. Its based on the Little Red Riding Hood fairy tale, in a new "All Growed Up" fashion. :D I also posted up a short sequential story done as a prequel to a larger comic I hope to one day produce called, SOLOIST. A sample of both is posted below and you can see more HERE!
Lastly, the other day CRANEFOLDER posted a great Blog entry about a super deal on the DVD's Planet Terror and Death Proof. If you missed it go give it a peek. Crane can be one funny mo fo, and it is a great deal...if you like these kind of movies. :D I posted up a long ass comment to his blog about a number of other Zombie related flicks and books. Essentially I "Blogged" in his "Blog"  But I feel really strongly about one of my book recommendations. I have wanted to Blog about it since I finished reading it and just keep forgetting too. If your a Zombie fan, stop what ever it is your doing and get in your car and drive to the local bookstore. Go to the horror section and buy "World War Z" It is OUT-FREAKING- STANDING!!!!!
Its written as interviews with survivors of a Zombie epidemic 10 years after. It is unlike anything that has come before it. I cant recommend it enough. It pulls in sociological issues, current political issues, and like any great fiction, makes tremendous comment on our world today through this horrible imaginary catastrophy. It ends up being a truly positive story about the human spirit and our ability to survive and come together to solve our problems. It was written by Max Brooks, the son of Mell Brooks which is a pretty ironic. It has been optioned for a movie by Brad Pits production company and J Michael Strazinsky, of Babylon 5 fame, is currently writing the screen play. You should give it a try.
