WHERE'S THE HALO ART BATS!!!???

Ok Im back :-) I missed 2 weeks of posting new Halo Art. Its not because I have stopped trying to produce new Halo art weekly. This is what happened. 2 weeks ago I spent my creative extra time on a very special Halo project I am collaborating with Darth Cestual on. We started it over a year ago and it lost steam. We have decided to try and pull it together now with Halo 3 about to bust on the scene. I dont want to go into to many details so that its kind of a surprise. :-) We have mentioned it to Doodi in the past and he has said he will feature it for us on the site. :-) So I spent a week and a half knocking out 9 pages of roughs and Darth is penciling now so we are off and running. :-) We are calling it Halo Omega, and all I will say is that its Halo based, and 2old2play focused :-)

So thats what happened 2 weeks ago, as for last week, my Daughter started kindigarten. Holy SH#@ I wasn't ready for this!! :lol: :lol: And, Holy SH#@ they grow up fast!! :lol: :lol: Any way, to say that this new addition to the morning schedule in our house was something equal to a hurricane in its devastation to our routine, would be a grand understatement! :lol: :lol: No kidding, at one point I contemplated taping the window glass!! :lol: :lol: Seriously though, it rocked our world. Things are now into a bit of a better groove, though my son started Nursery school this week as well, but thats only 2 days so its been more like a mild thunderstorm, no Hurricane :-)

Bottom line is Im back and though I was preoccupied that last 2 weeks, I have been creating lots of new stuff during my hiatus to share. :-) I figured I would post twice this week. Today to post up stuff to cover the last 2 weeks and then again on Thur or Fri for this weeks contribution. I was getting already to start posting and I saw Madwoman's blog. ( A great blog in general I might add, especially the Friday funnies :-) If you haven't checked it out I recommend you scootch on over there. ) She has posted today a wonderful tribute in honor of 911. It made me realize that I should hold off on the Halo art and post something more relevant to the day. I'll post the Halo art starting tomorrow. So thanks Wonderwoman for the inspiration.

The piece Im posting today, I have posted here before, in fact on last years 911 anniversary. Until i do something new to mark the day it seems appropriate to post it again. I have added a link to a slightly larger image this time. This was created to honor the Fireman of 9/11. Their bravery, as well as the bravery of all the other heroes of that day, set them apart from the 2 dimensional Super-Heroes that I have loved and cherished all my life. They demonstrated to the world, that Super-heroes do exist in the real world. They showed me that my love of imaginary comic book heroes is based in a admiration for real human heroes. This was done a few weeks after the attack and it hung in a Society Of illustrators show in NY that auctioned the pieces to raise money to help victims families.
