Was hoping to see the "jasper" units but I had my doubts when I saw the bundle. It's not a jasper, but with their return policy I'm over it now, I've got this whole process down and if it happens again I've got everything ready to roll. I have all the extra cords and gear for whenever I take the xbox on the road so I don't have to unplug everything from the entertainment center so it worked out great as I just put those cables in the box, unplugged the 360 and off I went.
Decided I wasn't too concerned with my gamesaves and instead of keeping my hard drive I swapped the whole thing this time to get the bigger one. New unit came with the 60gig, hdmi, 2 games, and the bundle was over $100 cheaper than last time so I got cash back! I logged onto xbox.com, use the license transfer tool and all my achievements and downloads were back in their spot in my queue for my new box.
The extra money went right into my son's birthday gift - a DSi. Bought it at Costco too. Great ending to a frustrating situation.
Happy Memorial Day all!
