A Big Observation

With several new people buying 360s every week , it seems like there is always plenty of people online right now to catch a chance to play your favorite game online with fellow 202prs. ;; That is why Ive been a little reclusive amongst the Halo2 crowd lately. ;; Theres just been to many people to play COD2 and PGR3 with online that I find myself playing those games instead of Halo.

That being said, Ive noticed something a little odd.

Im down to playing H2 around once or twice a week at this point.  Keep in mind I was playing H2 6-7 times a week to the exclusivity of any other game.  Now, even though I played that much, Ive never been more than an average, at best, player.  Im OK with that.  Ive never aspired to be anything more than a guy who could at least hold his own and make some contribution to a team.  But heres what I find strange.  Having played LOTS of PGR3 and COD2 lately, when I do get on for some Halo I seem to be playing better than when I played every day.

A week or so ago I was asked to sub in for a freindly clan match against DivXX on the "C" team.  "Perefect" I thought.  "I havent played in a while and probably wont do that well, C team is probably best for me."  Well, I did pretty good. Not necassarily the best on my team mind you, but pretty good nonetheless.  In fact Rashanii actually had the nerve to call me a "ringer". ME!  Ive never been accused of being a ringer in my life.  Now I know Rashanii was just poking fun and didnt think to much of it until a couple of days later when I finally get back to a little Halo and pull this game out of my ass.

Then again, yesterday, I finally put the H2 back in again and the first game out, against some excellent players, I manage to do this..

Now I know Im no Fire or Netw3rk or anything but it sure feels like Im playing better now than I ever have even though Im barely playing at all.  Could there be a correlation between playing other games and improving your overall video game abilities?  I dont know. But if this keeps up my game library might be expanding soon.

I still love Halo, but finally we have some more good games available to play with our friends. I used to play Halo every night of the week, now I can mix it up a bit, add a little variety.

Big One you still SUCK at Halo! ;) Seriously though I rarely play Halo anymore myself( previously being a 7 day addict) I have not noticed any significant drop off in my skills (limited as they are). I believe the increased skill stems from not being so burnt out on the game and actually focusing on the gameplay more. Ive definately noticed several things that have always been there, but never have previously due to the constant repetition of playing. It is definately nice to mix up the games with COD2, PGR3, GRAW, and Halo. As for Charlie team against Div XX....myself, you, and Mosely definately would be more of a Bravo than a Charlie team.

Well Ive noticed whenever I take a break for a day or two or go to bed earlier is usually play better. I feel im sharper and more alert when I take breaks, opposed to playing everyday. Who knows. Nice games though
