Shared on Tue, 10/31/2006 - 09:28I just returned to my office from my dentist appointment - which means I took the elevator to the 3rd floor and walked down the hall. In addition to my regular cleaning, the hygienist prophy-blasted my teeth. It sounded promising before the procedure because she said it would remove coffee stains and whiten my teeth a bit. It did that but my tongue and lips hurt like a bitch. "Prophy-blasting" must be a euphemism for what dental professionals commonly refer to as "sand-blasting." That's about what it felt like.
My low sodium diet sucks. And by "sucks", I mean fucking sucks. I can't eat anything. I've had all the vegatables, fruit, rice, and chicken I can stand already and it's only been a few days. I've already lost 5 lbs since Thursday and, although I could shed an inch or two in the waist, I'm only a buck seventy now. I'll probably shrivel down to 150 if I keep this up. Another added benefit of my new eating habits in tandem with the diuretic I'm taking is decreased energy. I've gotten like 8.5 hours of sleep the past two nights and it's a struggle to get up. Oh yeah, no alcohol, caffeine, or chocolate, and just in time for Halloween!
Recently I realized that I do a lot of bitching in my blog and thought I should say something positive. So here it is: I watched a great special last night on Teddy Bruschi, a linebacker for the Patriots. I caught it right after it started but thought it was pretty neat. A little boy with a heart condition asked to meet him through the Make a Wish Foundation (I imagine because Bruschi also had heart surgery recently). So Bruschi met him at their stadium, gave him his own Patriots outfit, gave him a tour of the stadium, let him score a touchdown on their field (sort of a make believe "this is to win the game" play with family and Pats staff watching), and let him do a press conference in their press room. The kid was so cute, too, and he was smiling the whole time. Bruschi didn't just say hi and leave, he talked with the boy for what seemed like hours and even game him a game ball autographed by the Pats. It was the game ball the Patriots gave Bruschi I think when he was MVP of a playoff game. Anyway, it was a great story, and it's nice to see that there are still heroes out there for kids to look up to. Although I don't really watch the NFL at all, I might have to be a Pats fan of some sort, or at least a Teddy Bruschi fan.
Gameplay - CTF Warlock Double Team. Watch Caesar drag me kicking and screaming to victory. We overcome a 1-2 deficit to beat some obnoxious timmies.
