Shared on Mon, 10/03/2011 - 11:37Didn't get to play a lot more 1v1's last night - only a couple I think. Typically when my chums are one we do a lot of 3v3 and 4v4 type games. Honestly, I prefer 1v1 and then theory crafting :) talking it out with the boys about what went right and what went wrong and build orders and stuff. But the team games are fun and can be damn entertaining and a lot less stressful than 1v1 games.
Probably be doing more team games tonight - Monday's and Thursday's are the regular nights for the big team games amongst my RL friends. I also have an early hockey draft (6:30 est) so my night is booked! just gotta tell my wife somehow...
Playing 30 1v1's this weekend was eye opening. First of all I'm not as horrible as I thought. I mean I'm horrible lol but not horrible for Bronze League. I'm learning after each match and feel like I'm progressing. And I had players message me and tell me they thought I was pretty good - also had people message me and tell me to fuck off and die lol I take both as a compliment :)
My initial goal before the map loaded each game was 4 gate into DT when I expanded. Sometimes I went 3 gate robo then DT. The great thing about going DT is if they have detection you can just easily go into a Gateway+Archon mix which is pretty deadly. I worked hard on always having a proxy pylon close to the enemy base but not to close so I could warp in and I really worked on pissing them off anytime they wanted to expand lol
The nice thing about the 3v3 and 4v4 games is that you can just try shit....so much going on and the games usually last quite awhile. So tonight I'm going to try some Warp Prism play, more Immortals and some High Templar play. I don't think I've even used HT yet lol Should be a fun night!
