Shared on Tue, 10/18/2011 - 11:48Just spent half my lunch hour watching some top tier replays from sc2rep.com It's a great site because you can search and sort your replays etc. I found some pro TvP and PvP matches and watched them. Good stuff. In one of the games (TvP) the Korean player built probes and then a Nexus! lol no Gateways no nothing. I think I'm too cowardly for that kind of boldness - I know I would get rushed. BTW that guy one :) because he lived after that risky move and his better econ took him to the mid / late game for the win. But man - that's ballsy. I noticed 3 gate robo being increasingly more popular and I can see why. You can still put pressure on your opponent and the Robo allows for Obs if you want to go blink stalker - now you have vision up the other guys ramp and into his main. Or you could Immortals or Collossus and you can do some drop pressure. A pretty popular build but I've never spent the time to really learn and work with it. I have to get on board and try some 3 gate robo shit. Experiment with the different transitions (blink / colusus / immortal drop etc.)These were Korean GSL games that I was watching and I didn't see any Forge Fast Expands or 4 Gate play a lot.
I think I'll 1v1 tonight and work on my 3 Gate Robo here is the build order for any other 'Toss players who want to know. (you'll notice this BO is differen than the one in the video below - just some slight timing difference but worth experimenting with).
