Good bye beta!!

Well I finally ordered Snow Leopard and installed it over the weekend. which in turn allowed me to run a hack uninstaller to get the OS4.0 beta off of my iphone. I couldn't stand it any longer. I really hope they do a LOT more tweeking of that OS before it is released. It runs like complete shit and turns your iphone3G into a slow crashing pile of crap. I'm still half tempted to pick up a 3Gs but, i would really like to just wait for the 4G. I don't know.

On to a differenct topic, GUESS WHO PICKED UP AND ATARI 2600, 6 CONTROLLERS, 2 PONG PADDLES & OVER 30 GAMES???!!?!?!?! Me. All for the low low price of $15. The only thing it was missing was the power adapter which i was able to pick up at the local Game Exchange for $2.95. I think i'm going to spend the weekend taking it apart and cleaning it and getting it ready for action. There's a ton of classic games as well like Pitfall, Pacman, Donkey Kong, Asteroids, and on and on. You name it, it's probably in there.

And now onto current console gaming. I've been playing Just Cause 2 lately and most recently picked up Halo ODST. Just Cause 2 was a shocking suprise. I didn't expect it to be as fun as it is but, DAMN! It's another open world type of game similar to Mercenaries or GTA but, some of the abilities like the grappling hook and free falling just suck me in completely. I still do the missions and then i'll wander off and just play around for a while. If you haven't played this one yet I recommend at least trying the demo version that's available for xbox and ps3. Halo ODST was pretty much what I thought it was going to be. So far it seems to be pretty fun I even ventured into the MP a little bit and was very happy with the online play. It was nice to play a game that wasn't so dependant on who had the best interenet connection *ugh huh mm Gears ugh mmm huh*  I hooked up with a buddy of mine from work (who is now a member of this website, WHAT'S UP SUPERTOM!) and we had some fun playing the MP. Unfortunately I didn't get to play enough but, doesn't it always seem that way? :)
