Frustration

Boulder

I am getting more and more frustrated with the countless times I seem to get hosed in H3. People walking through nades or rockets. Getting beat by people you are better really sends me through the roof. Just weird shit always seems to happen when I play.

Anyone else notice something different with the melee lunge? I have been getting beat down from some crazy distances as of late. It looks almost like a sword lunge. Hell I never get that type of luck. I pretty much stay out of melee distance just because of the inconstancies of the system. What do you do when the lunges are getting crazy?

I'm sure you know that muscle weighs more than fat. Your "scale" should be how well do your clothes fit? Have you lost inches?

Depends on what "kind" of gun we are talking about there.....I'm pretty sure any weapon would do it....you just might have to bury your TV with the "dog". :) :)

Yeah, I'm about to start swinging things into high gear with exercise and losing weight as well. I could stand to lose a good 40 or so pounds!. Just curious, are you also watching what you eat? Are you on any kind of diet? You definitely want to watch the number of carbs you intake. Normal diet for a male would be 60 to 90g of carbs per meal (that means only a quarter plate of carb food for dinner... no half a plate of potatoes! And definitely no soda to drink). My diet these winter months really stinks, I really need to break outta all these bad foods I've been eating!

A solid hard smack on the ass when she breaks any rules. Follow that up with a learning point ("The reason you need to turn off your lights everday is because it saves energy and because I SAID O!") And give her time limits for everything ("I want you dressed in 5 minutes or there will be a BIG painful surprise for you!") Yes, it is mean and harsh, but it seems to me she doesn't have any respect for your authority or your rules/chores. And yes, 6 year olds do grasp the concept of respect.

Yea, the long melees happen. Not sure why, but it does happen. You have to remember though that is where you are seeing them based on your connection. They might actually be closer on their screen. Just a thought. I always just play past it because that kind of stuff will happen no matter what.

I had an odd one the last time I played, I threw a sticky, missed the guy by a full body length, but the nade swung in an arc and stuck to his leg and rolled up his body to his head.....I was accused of glitching...I still have no clue what happened, but I havn't played another ranked match since.

Ah, the joys of XBL. Yeah, that stuff is definitely frustrating and I certainly have my nights where my head feels like it is going to explode - and it does sometimes. But try not to let it get to you - easier said than done, I know. I try to work on managing my frustration with stuff like that - sometimes more successful than others. Once you play H3 on LAN, it is really tough to play on XBL. There is a HUGE difference, I think much more of a difference that XBL vs. LAN with H2. XBL connection in H3 can have a much larger impact on the game vs. H2.

D'Angel's got it spot on. You're replacing fat pounds with muscle pounds. If you really want to get the weight to come off, you have to elevate that heart rate. After 30 minutes of elevated cardio activity, you'll start burning fat. The longer you go, the more fat you burn. And it sucks. :) The good news is that your stamina will increase as well and that translates directly to increased bedroom stamina! It's an evil activity in my book, but you can't deny the multiple benefits! :) Good Luck!

These don't even really seem like chores... I mean getting yourself dressed, going to the bathroom? When my used to be teen ager use to have troubles with her grades, I would yank all of her crap -stereo, N64, Internet, etc.. until mid quarter progress reports came out. If her grades still sucked, she wouldn't get her stuff back until report cards came out. I remember once, she had and her friends had tickets to go see a concert, and her grades were horrible. She came home with her friends all excited for the concert only to find out she wasn't going, but her friends were. My wife ended up taking them and leaving her daughter at home. Oh well....

I am right there with you, however my daughters chores are the same except they include cleaning her room. You would think that I asked to solve the hardest impossible math problem imaginable! I haven't mastered it yet either so I hope to gain some much needed advice from your blog as well....

I just picked up GH3 today. Can't wait to get home and play it. Medium will be hard enough for me the first few times through.

As hard as it is, take away her favorite things and don't give them back until she starts doing them. Show her that she has to do things to get things. It's probably harder than whoopin her butt if needed...trust me. I feel like a mean bastard when I take away my daughters stuff. MJ

I agree with MikeJames, take away whatever toy she values most for a pre-determined length of time, and don't give in until that time is up. This works for kids of all ages. My 17 year-old is impatiently waiting for report cards to come out so he can have his 360 back :)
