If you have never seen an Akira Kurosawa film, please go to you local rental place and rent one - they are very well done.  I would suggest Throne of Blood, High and Low, or Seven Samurai (the basis for the American film: The Magnificent Seven).

Then, get to know Toshiro Mifune, as he was one of the best actors ever to grace the screen...

Cool vid, but it should be noted that much of this video is sped up Also, I think Sanjuro would be a better introductory film. Good story, light hearted, and violent enough. Then you can follow on to Yojimbo, which is what most of this video is from. Also, I would strongly recommend reading Kurosawa's autobiography. SC
