The Weather

So it was hot here yesterday.  Like 73 degrees.  Northern California between San Francisco and Sacramento.  It got me thinking about how we categorize the states.  We have the East, North East, South, Mid-west, West, North west, and south west... does that really cover all the states?  I mean, what happened to the mid-east?  I never hear that term.  It's like when you say "mid-west" you're talking all the states between West Virginia and Wyoming.  Hell, Colorado is many miles from the west coast, but if you live east of St Louis, it may seem like you can see the beach from Colorado.  I blame the faulty label for the Arch in St Louis... "The gateway to the west"... that damn thing has everyone confused.

Oh - and by the way, it's supposed to get up to 68-70 again today...

"Go West Young Man..."

My mantra has always been go south and west until you find a home... the weather gets better and the women wear less...:-)

I visit your area often. My favorite bar is out there. Agree with the 'go south'.

WEST SIIIIIIIIIIIDE! :) Livin' in LA, used to live in Redwood City. Gotta say, the one thing I will truly miss when I move is the Christmas mornings where you can wear flipflops to take out the trash. Stupid historical markers. The need to patch that, maybe with St. Louis Arch 1.5, "Gateway to the more westerly regions".
