Going with the trend

Since lately it seems there's been an influx of people speaking out against those things they don't like about what's going on in the community, I figured I'd jump on the bandwagon / soapbox and chime in as well.

Boobies.

I love them, you love them (unless you're some of the female members of 2old2play, but even then you might. We won't judge, it's cool), but I find 2old2play to be a site where I can go to read people's thoughts, get insights into the lives of others who are in the same situation(s) as me and really help to get to know people at some sort of level, as well as kill lots of time at work. At least, that's what I used to find in it.

However, as of late there seems to be an increase in the amount of NSFW images of mostly naked (and in some cases, some nip-slips) women being posted all over the place. These arrive in the forms of random images tossed on to attract more blog views, or on some blogs the daily "hot pic". Let me reiterate, I love boobs. But seriously, I don't like feeling like I have to tiptoe around the site to get some entertainment while I'm at work, never knowing when I'm going to open a blog post that's going to have some chick with a camel toe bending over with her rack hanging out of her shirt. If my browser or computer has a stutter and when one of my bosses comes around the corner I can't get it off the screen in time and get in trouble for trying to browse through as-close-to-porn-without-going-over images while I'm supposed to be working.

Do we all really feel that we have to post such images on our blog pages? Seriously, if I want to see that stuff it's the easiest thing to find on the internet. Any one of us can get our fix of such things when we get home by typing a keyword into a google image search. Some blogs I've had to put on something of a DNR (do not read) list because that's basically all there is. I'm sure those effected don't care, but I'd rather the site not reduce to the point where I can only read the blogs of the women and admins (nothin' but love, people) because everyone else is trying to turn the community into a softcore pr0n site.

Seriously, can we stop? If you don't have anything but naked pictures to post then you don't *have* to post. You can take a day or two off. I only post once every so often and no one complains. But maybe that's also because I don't have anything good to say.

Yeah. I agree with that man. At work it can be a hazard looking at the blogs.

yeah, some blogs I just avoid - like any with an avatar of a hot chick half-naked. Not because the avatar is bad, but I know where the bloggers interest lies. I have no problem with porn, I encourage it to all, its really just a matter of not being fired :) If its in site chat or something and its a link the person usually types "NSFW" so I know to not click or do it real real fast. But the blogs...man, you click and some take a bit to draw and while its drawing the browser isn't always 100% responsive :) Not to mention looking over your back and minimizing when someone comes in the office isn't exactly the most discreet thing that you can do :) CodeMonkey

Well said, and as someone who likes to surf from work (I'm blessed with the ability to multi-task like a FIEND), I'd love for them to stop as well. If I can wait till I get home and hit the NSFW forum, anyone can. B.

Yep... I honestly thought that the NSFW forum was or should be the only place to post those kinds of images. :) Not that I am against hoobies or anything, just please people, show some discretion. Good post/rant! :)
