The SNL skits, for as amusing as they can be, are a joke (no pun intended). Whoever it is who plays Jobs needs to do a little research. Or any, at all. They could stand to go a little less overboard. What was it, the iPod Invisa that holds 11 billion songs? Something like that? Gag me. But I digress...
The Onion, however, manages to do a fantastic satire of a Jobs keynote and product announcement. I could hear each word as though it were actually being spoken by His Steveness. The only problem I have with the editorial, however, is a missed opportunity to nail a Microsoft-branded counter product. In the article it's known as the 'Launch-O', but I feel that if this situation were to actually happen, it'd be the 'Windows Launch-O'. Just seems to be more the MS way, to brand it with either 'Microsoft' or 'Windows' in the title. Possibly should've also added some sort of a quote from an MS higher-up talking about "their innovation". Something else that usually seems to make its way into a product announcement from MS that's based off of an existing product by another company. In any case, still an awesome article and a very funny read.
