freakin WalMart and school shopping

is it just my area, or is all the Walmarts doing the "make overs"? I have known my store for the last 7/8 or so years, can tell ya where things were. Now, they are squishing the shelves together to the point that you can't get 2 carts down the same aisle. WTF? That's in the General household stuff..bedding, dog food, whatever. In the actual food aisle, you can maybe get 2 carts to pass. And that's if the other person doesn't leave their cart in the middle of the fuckin aisle, in which case I just push aside with my own cart.

Today, our 10YO daughter and I were school shopping in Walmart. She sees how frustrated I am and says "calm down Mom" Geez, was I that pissed off? Yeah probably. Come on, you know you don't have that much room...move the fuck over, will ya

And on to clothes shopping. Becca starts school Sept 2. Got all the supplies, got her closet cleaned out of "none fitting clothes". We went to 4 stores today and only got a few items. Ok on the shoes, but now it came to the clothes. Anything I picked out she denied I remember I could pick out anything and she would be ok with it. HAHA, I am such a sucker. She's a 5th grader now, what the hell do I know? It's not like I have been there or anything. Blah..on to the mall tomorrow for more glorious school clothes shopping. yay me!

This is why I am SO glad that we went to school uniforms this year. "Skort, jumper, capris, or shorts? Ok. What color shirt?" I think I'm REALLY going to appreciate it when she hits Jr. High.

I let my kids pick one outfit of their choice, the rest are mine. Now, they may wear the hell outta that one outfit, but at least they have normal clothes as well. - Ethan's choice this year is a black shirt with Jolly Roger skulls all over it and white cargo shorts with black drips on the cuffs. WTF-EVAH! Just tell Becca she'll be okay with me as long as she doesn't have writing on her ass. I will whup her myself if she gets flare pants that say ANYTHING on the ass. :)
