well, he went in on the 22nd, had the operation and was over HERE visiting the next day! He was bouncing off the freaking walls! What I learned though, was that the doc took 2 viles of stones out, containing about 200 stones total. Now, isn't it true that the normal person with stones would have a few? Maybe a few more? I learned that he was born with this condition and will more likely have to have this again. Thanks so much for the thoughts and prayers, I really appreciate it all.

Now, on to the fur-kids. We have 2 german shepherds, Kane and Allie. Love them both to pieces. We got them both from a local rescue group.
As I am laying in bed last night, Allie is on the floor at the foot of the bed sleeping. She starts growling, twitching and whimpering. What was she dreaming about? Kane, on the other hand has never had any of these dreams. In the almost 2 years we have had him, never once have I heard him do this. It is an almost nightly thing with Allie though. A little background... Allie was beaten. I mean someone actually scared the ever loving shit out of her to the point that when we got her, she would not hang around LB75. She was terrified of him, and to this day (a few years after getting her) we still can not hold her paws. We have to have the vet LAY on her to clip her nails! She loves him now though, but it was a hard road to go down. So, is she dreaming about getting beaten?
Kane was abused as well, but it was more neglected. He wasn't being fed and when we got him, I think he only weighed about 50-60 something pounds. He was so sick looking and we could see his bones. I just want to know why people do this? Why have a dog and not take care of it? Why beat them? Just a stern command from us does the trick with them, and that isn't very often that we have to do that. They are the most sweetest dogs I have ever seen. My mom always tells me that she is gonna steal Allie away from us, lol and people that hear their story are amazed at how well they behave for having the past they have. These two are my companions during the day. Well Kane is more of it, Allie wants to stay in the bedroom most of the day.  I didn't really start this blog to get answers. I know that not everyone is a dog kind of person, but DAMN, do they have to beat them? I wasn't a dog person when we got Allie, but her behavior towards me made me change my mind. Since she was afraid of LB, she stayed by me most of the time. Well, the first night she was here she slept in our daughters room. It just makes me so mad when I hear stories like this. If we had the room, I would take more shepherds in
Thanks for reading

I have an 8yo beagle, never abused, but that little fat dog thinks she is Cujo when she is sleeping. She chases things, twitches, growls, barks and even bays while sleeping. She dreams more actively than any animal I have ever known. It's funnier than all get out when she'll start howling in her sleep and wake herself up. She'll look over at us just a little embarassed. She has so much fun, I wish I could dream like that. :)
