Clash of the Titans

For my son’s Birthday I took him and a few of his friends to Clash of the Titan this week end.  First off it was a good movie.  Everything that a 13 year old boy loves in movies.  Lots of Special effects.  But when I was leaving I could not stop from think man am I tired of special effect to support a movie.  A few years back when the whole CG thing came into its own a movie could stand on great effects.  I was like wow that movie looked great but now the effects seem to have lost their punch.  I have seen a dragon, robot or whatever it may be and that does not affect me.  I want a movie with a good story.  Now I am not saying that I want one of those Oscar type movies but am it too much to ask for a good story in a movie that looks nice.  I am very interested to see Avatar (I know I think that I am the last person to have not seen it) but everyone tells me that it is amazing to see but is that enough.  I will have to see when it comes out on BR next week.
