Been a rough two days.

Sup peeps? Been a real tough couple days here!! Yesterday g/f(H) needed to go out of town to meet her mom(B) at her moms(J) nursing home. She'd been sick for a long time. H wanted to drive her van which has seen it's best days and beyond for sure. I was like you should take my car especially since we'd just had it serviced. Wasn't havin it...she wanted to drive "her baby".Soooooo....she heads out right around noon. I figured I'd have just enough time to get a couple things done.....get in a game or 2 of W@W before work. Wrong!!! Right round 1ish get's a call from H saying she'd heard a pop, felt a jerk and now the van sounds like an airplane!! Since she was close to an exit told her to get off there and I'd bring her the car . So I takes the car to her, transfers her stuff and drives back. Sucker would'nt change gears. Now I'm pissed and calls my mechanic to see if he could use the thing for parts. Rod says bring it in so I'm like see ya in a bit. Well before I goes over to the shop once I get it back to town I stops off at home first. Was home for about 20 minutes (if that) then headed on over to the shop. Wouldn't ya know on the way to the shop the sumbitch didn't miss a beat shifting perfectly every time!!! When I got it over there Rod gave it the once over and adjusted the bands in the transmission and did something with a pressure line but didn't find anything really wrong with it. I think it's just time for the old girl to retire to just being the fishing mobile!!

H was real apologetic bout the whole thing. Called several times apologizing and saying she shoulda listened and taken the car like I wanted her too. I wasn't gonna be an ass about it considering her grandma most likely wasn't gonna make it another couple days. Besides who knew the van would take a temp shit.

Then there was this morning......I get's up to get the kids off to school. Two eldest take care of them selves really.......got to get the young one motivated. I get a phone call from H....her grandma passed away this morning. Says she went quietly in her sleep so thats a good thing I guess. Figured it best to tell'um this evening after school. Funeral will be this weekend sometime most likely.......yeah......a rough couple days. See ya's on the battle field.
