Microsoft's repair policy

Damn so fucking glad it's Friday!!!! That off my chest I am wondering if MS has a new policy they didn't bother to tell anyone about. Somea ya might remember my experiment from a few months back with my core unit.Well I never could MAKE the sucker get RRoD. Figured after a few weeks wrapped in towels and blankets with a heating pad in the middle didn't do it nothing would. But it does make a unit that has E74 playable tho so that'll help some for a bit. Anywho one night from work I decides to give MS a call and tell'um the thing RRod'ed. Guy asked a few standard questions.......gave him the standard answers and was told to check my email for a prepaid shipping label. I sends the thing in just figuring after they check it and see it doesn't have RRoD they would charge me to fix it. Well bout a week after that I get's email from MS saying repairs complete and then another bout an hour later with shipping info!!! Now I'm thinkin what the fuck.....no charge?? I got it back the other day all cleaned up and E74 is gone and it's runnin REAL quiet!!Sumbucks even sent a 1 month live card. My question is....are they fixin anything now or do you have to tell'um ya got RRoD?? And do they even check?? Happy gamin folk!!
