Sup peeps?!?! 1st off congrats to our 44th President!! Good luck cleanin up this mess we're in. Now onto my experiment. My original core 360 which was bought in jan 07 died after a lil over 1 year(14 months) I called MS and found out the 3 yr warrenty didn' cover my problem which was E74 error. (why this wasn't included in the 3yr deal is beyond me cause it is also a MAJOR problem) So gf gets me an Elite and the old core goes in the closet. I figured I'd watch some youtube vids and fix it myself but never got around to it so sumbuck just sat in the closet for months. Well bout a month ago a light came on in my head........if over heating cause red ring could the old core be MADE to over heat? So grabs it outta the closet and wraps it in towels and turns sucker on. After a few hours it shut off with two lights flashing.Turned it off/on and low and behold it was working like nothing was ever wrong with it!! This lasted a few hours then it E74ed again. Repeated the process and was able to get 8 hrs outta it.Each time I repeated the process the time the old 360 worked for longer periods of time which leads me to today. Over the 3 day weekend I left it on from Friday till last night and not once did the E74 error come back!!!! GF has the 360 popcap game disc and been playing that and so far no hiccups. Altho can't seem to be able to make it red ring E74 does seem to be gone!!! I've got another long weekend coming up so I think I'll try a couple graphic intensive games to see waht happens. Hopefully my tinkering will help some get a lil more life outta their boxes!!!

Enjoy tour Tuesday folks!!!!!
