1.) "Flu like" bug - 2-3 days of pharyngitis followed on day 3 with myalgia, sinusitis, fever, bronchitis. This knocks my adults down for about 5-7 days. "Flu-like" with negative flu swabs and negative mono tests.
2.) Acute bronchitis, lasts about 5 days, in my non-smokers. No fever, worse night-time cough. Minimal clear or slightly discolored sputum.
3.) Gastroenteritis - nausea and vomiting sweeps through the family and/or office lasting 2-3 days.
For all three - antibiotics aren't helping. The tincture of time and symptomatic coverage is the best prescription. Fluids, tylenol or motrin for aches and fever, cough and cold medicine for other symptoms.
