Shared on Wed, 02/20/2008 - 07:54I have been playing Dominions 3 on the PC since it launched. It was created by two guys in Europe and distributed by Shrapnel Games in North Carolina.
If you like Risk, fantasy themes and turn-based strategy games, this one is for you. There is a robust demo which you can use in multiplayer.
A few caveats - the interface is not always intuitive, so read through several of the walk-throughs while starting out. The graphics are probably a lot more primitive than you are used to, but that is not a bad thing.
There is a great community of players internationally and an IRC channel so you'll never be lonely for a blitz game. Though pricey at $55, occasionally Shrapnel has a sale, but the developers continue to add content and patches, latest is 3.14. Fifty playable nations in three ages and over 1500 units. Try it out!
