Levi is a great guy. Unfortunately, it sounds like his team won't be at the Tour this year.
Because Levi is on Team Astana and Astana had several key folks kicked off the tour last year, the rest of the team left as well. This is all stemming from the doping scandals that have tainted the Tour for the last few seasons.
Hopefully it will get sorted out, but now they're taking legal action as well:
ASO announced last week that Astana has been banned from this year's showcase because of the "damage caused by this team to the Tour de France and cycling in general, both in 2006 and 2007. The Astana team last year betrayed the trust of organizers."
I hope they get this all sorted out. I love the fisticuffs in the mountain passes and the peloton chasing the five man breakaways over rolling hills, not the negative press.
