"V" - The Second Generation?

You all may remember "V" the Miniseries event that could have arguably started it all, with blockbuster miniseries throughout the 1980s.  It came out on NBC in about 1984.

Apparently a follow-up novel by the creator came out a few weeks ago V the Second Generation which takes place 20 years later.  Based on the reviews, it sounds like this is a springboard for a miniseries of its own.

The creator, Kenneth Johnson, was responsible for the Alien Nation television series which was excellent, in my opinion.  He wrote V the Final Battle, but it got changed a bit by the folks who actually put it together, so apparently doesn't come into play in this book and possible miniseries.

I can hear the music already....

De dum dum.  De dum dum.  De dum dum....

V the Miniseries is worth your time, as it really was a touchstone for the eighties sci-fi.  It rejects Close Encounters and E.T. as aliens coming in peace.  They come with a subversive message to enslave us all.  Watch the skies.

I watched both miniseries but I didn't watch the weekly show that was put out. I don't think it lasted long.
