Shared on Wed, 01/16/2008 - 07:40Still playing FF XII, my characters are all around level 40-41. I've taken a break from the main quest and am gathering up "marks" or "hunts" from the guild.
It is amazing how some are easy (i.e. nobody dies during the fight) and other times I get annihilated.
In the Mesphorian Highlands, for example, you can climb up to one of the peaks if you do certain things. I didn't expect much, as I had been puttering around the zones as I figued out how to connect them. So, you get into this last dead-end zone, the bridge goes away, a boss who doesn't allow you to use items appears and also has an attack, that I believe was a "gaze" that did 4000+ points of damage per hit. Ouch.
Well, at least I had cleared three other marks by that point (including the King Bomb in Salikawood).
We're expecting snow/ice in the Carolinas tonight, so maybe tomorrow will be a no-work day!
