I could do that, hopefully you guys won't find it too boring. It has it's moments. This will be a good time to start and it will only be fore the remainder of my hitch, two weeks. So starting tomorrow I'll start blogging about my how my days go.
A heads up on how my work schedule out here is. We work twelve hour shifts broken up into 6 hour watches. My shift is called the front watch or first watch. I am up(awake) and on duty from (0600)6 a.m. to 12 p.m. then off watch from 12p.m. to 6 p.m.(1800) then on from 1800 to 2400. That's one day. We are preparing to get underway(set sail) at this moment and head south from Chicago, IL to New Orleans, LA. If I can, I'll post a chart of our route to help visualize. And if you guys are interested in seeing the vessel I Captain, you can check my previous post for the link. Our company has a site also, www.blessey.com/ click on the equipment link and tugs for more pics of our vessels and the barges link for what we push. Also under the section of 2000 - 1700 horsepower vessels you'll see a link to a tug named in my honor, Capt. Jonathan Brown.
