Well, I feel for them and hope that they don't let those comments or opinions discourage then from doing what they love. I have played games of some sort be it video or D&D for a very long time, it has been apart of my life and still is and probably will be for a while yet. Playing relaxes me and help me deal or not deal with issues at hand. Well I lucked up and got a woman who understands. She has never played any video games until we met and at first she couldn't understand why I was so into it. Well I kept involving her and showing her how to play and now we play together. She even has some games of her own, Guitar Hero II and DDR. She can't play FPS because it makes her motion sick, but she can hold her own with fighting games and RPG's. She never gripes at me for staying up too late at night with my buddies and even buys me the latest stuff coming out. I think what helped here was that I didn't argue with her about any of it, I included her and had patience with her. And she respected my interest in it too. So for all you guys out there who's significant other just doesn't "get it", don't give up on them, find a game that they may like and help them see the joy for themselves.
