1800 - Well we're really moving now, up to 10 knots. It's crazy at times, we slide around curves like cars drift through corners. Looks like we'll pass through Memphis early Tuesday morning, we'll make a quick stop to put off a crew member and pick up another, take on fuel and water and off we'll go.

My little girl called me tonight, seems she was out in the flower garden with mom and something black stung her toe, she loves walking in the grass without shoes on and seems like she got stung by a hornet. She was crying wanting her daddy to make it all better. This is the times when being out here really sucks, I have a hard time dealing with it and so does the family. I've been at it for 15 years now and it doesn't get any easier being away from home. It really makes me appreciate the time I have with them when I'm home.

Not much going on today, dodging other boats that are bigger than us, getting the tug ready for the coming winter. We change the water in our engines like you would your car, adding a special anti-freeze. We have to wrap pipes that will be exposed outside. Catch you guys later.
