Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a warp pipe to find. . .

My little Warhawks of the sky (hummingbirds) are back. Funny as this might sound, I recognize two of them and they know me. The first one back came straight to where I kept the feeder last year, but it wasn't there yet. Then he flew right in my face to let me know I was slacking on my jobe of making nectar. Off I ran into the kitchen to find the feeder and make him sugar water. Never piss off a hungry hummingbird, they will kick your azz! Now, I have five, maybe six hummingbirds.

I opened my front door a few mornings ago, and found this atop my door wreath! The bird made a mess with mud and twigs everywhere. I felt horrible about movng it, but I had no choice. I moved it to a tree and the nest was taken over by a new bird. Had an encounter with another robin, too, and that robin won. Every time I walk near that darn nest, I get this crazy bird dive-bombing my head. I stay clear of that nest now.

Been bike riding every chance I get before it gets too hot. I enjoy all the flowers while running from the bees. I had to convince everyone to go a bit farther than they wanted to. Then it decided to rain and hard. So all the way back home in the pouring rain, I had to hear all about it.....Wusses....lol......and I had it the worst, cause I was the only nut in shorts.

I keep getting asked this question. I guess I should explain to y'all that want to know.

My original sign off...."Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a warp pipe to find .  .  ."

I'm old school. You old Mario schoolers know about "warping" already. One of my old favorites is Super Mario Bros III, but most of the Mario Bros games are great.

Started using the quote at another game site about 10 years ago. It just grew from there. It's a Mario thing. He's always jumpin' down pipes and looking for the ever elusive warp zone. I change it up depending how I'm feeling, just to goof off, or to get a point across.

I've been fighting the birds trying to nest in my rooftop and in the gutters and things. Damn things. Robins will use any ol nest laying around, they're pretty lazy hahaha. Cool on the humming birds, my wife would love to have a population of humming birds visiting our house. She loves those things. I don't think i've seen any yet, mostly just sparrow type birds.

Robins are messy too. I didn't know they would nest in gutters and rooftops. All I know they like chasing me....lol You've got to put out a feeder to get them to come. I've tried many different types and the best one is from..... Now, here's the bad part. Once you get them hooked you really should feed them till the end of Oct (that's when they start flying south for the winter) They do not make any mess at all. They are quiet, (they chirp a lot at each other, and you when they get to know you, but it's not loud) but......you have to give them fresh nectar about every three to four days. Even if it looks full it goes sour and in hot sunny weather it goes fast. You make nectar by using 1 cup of water and 1/4 cup of cane sugar (table sugar, but it needs to say cane on the bag) stir and let the sugar dissolve in the water then add to your feeder. Last year I had a ton of hummingbirds all fighting for love and my feeder. So, I got more feeders, which brought in more hummingbirds...lol I'm crazy...lol I hope this helps and they are tons of fun to watch! youtube of best feeder....overlook the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-REquAwAmw

I've missed you! I can always depend on a bird story, complete with photos, or some creepy, but beautiful insect on your tomato plants! I have never seen hummingbirds here (Florida)...If I were them, I would stay away too...it is so damn hot here. I have cardinals, woodpeckers, doves, and bluebirds. :)
