Thanks to my Mom and Dad who came to me for Thanksgiving (‘cause of work, I was unable to head home to be with family). We had a blast shopping, visiting friends and eating yums!
Soon as I found out they were coming here, I went Christmas tree shopping for a small live tree. My first real tree since I was a kid. I always have a small fake tree, because I’m over at my family’s for Christmas. So, walking around looking at cute four-foot trees, I noticed that the nursery smelled like both evergreen and citrus. Then I saw them, the big boys.
They stood towering over me -- big, beautiful and smelling oh so wonderful. The nursery guy said the trees were “Noble Furs” and they have a citrus smell. I don’t know what came over me, but somehow I ended up with a seven-foot tree and a very pricey stand…lol. My home smells wonderful, but it took me forever to put all the lights on. I had to run back to Target to buy more lights!!! It took 1100 twinkly lights to cover that tree, but it was well worth it to see the happy smiles on my parents’ faces.
Pic of tree. 1100 twinkly lights... Now I have to buy more ornaments…lol
I had the whole Thanksgiving dinner pre-made from Whole Foods. Right down to the pumpkin pie and cookies. It was all surprisingly good, except the rolls sucked.
I’m very close to my family, it did me wonders to be with them. It’s funny how this Thanksgiving turned out to be very special even tho’ I couldn’t be with the rest of my family. It’s one that will be remembered.
And, to my Mom and Dad who couldn’t be with each other for their 18th anniversary in September (because my mom was taking care of someone special). They’re so in-love with each other. It always brings a smile to my face to see them both so happy, but especially my mother. She so deserves this. I took them out Thanksgiving week for a wonderful late anniversary dinner and set them up for a spa weekend at a beautiful resort.
To my Mom and Dad, Happy 18th Anniversary!
I took this picture of them after their wedding reception.
Many thanks go to Biznass. He was kind enough to help transfer my PS3 saved data to my new PS3. Biz put a lot of hard work into his instructions for us. Sony needs to hire you, Biz!
Thanks to my clan (which keeps me sane). You always put a big ol’ smile on my face. Sometimes I laugh so hard I can’t shoot to save my keister, or my teammates keister!...heh You play LBP with me, even tho some of you are not crazy about the game. You let my Mom game with ya’ and make her feel like a clan member. You put up with my lolcatz and girl cooties. Y’all are just a bunch of sweeties. You are so very hard to resist.
Wishing all a warm, wonderful holiday season.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, let’s all hang our heads in remembrance of my beloved PS3. He brought much joy and happiness to life.
