When I went to pre-order the game I was internally content with just ordering the plain jane version but there was an ad showing all the stuff and the Joker statue sold me. I wasn't dissapointed.
When I picked it up I honestly wasn't expecting the size of box this came in.
Here is a little reference with the cat and one of my dogs
It was actually a fairly light box given it's size so I wasn't sure what I would find inside in terms of how big everything is.
The pages were all 8.5" x 11" sheets and if you are familiar with what's inside then you already know there is a Batwing Schematic, a wanted poster and a glow in the dark 11 x 17 poster. I didn't realize that all the dossiers' on the assassins would be 8.5 x 11 as well. There is quite a bit of information. I took it out to show below but I didn't read it in case there were any spoilers.
Underneath the papers were the game and a DVD of DC villains. There are two pieces of "evidence" in the top pockets of the box as well. One was a poker chip and the other a large tooth or claw. Given the villains in this game I am guessing it's Killer Croc's tooth.
The book is a beautiful hardcover with what seems to be all the characters in the game and possibly more. In the front was a giant warning stating spoilers were inside so I only leafed through it. It came with a lovely anarchy stencil and a family photograph of the Wayne family in happier times.
Its not a big deal but sometimes the little things you find can put a smile on your face. In this case it was what I found under the book. The Styrofoam packaging was embossed with the Batman logo and game title. A little hard to see but for me it added more of a tailored feel to the packaging. As in this isn't just a chunk of foam we found that worked, This was specifically made for this purpose. I would have assumed that it would have been purposly made any way but this just reinforced that idea. Like a said it was just a nice little touch.
So now for the statue. Even though I knew what it was I didn't have my hopes up very high for what it actually might be. I figured it may be a smaller figure maybe with around a 5 x 7" foot print.
I was wrong. This thing took up almost the entire footprint of the box! The detail on this statue was incredible.
Once the batteries were in the back (by the way all the "TV's" shown in the picture have just as much detail on the back as they do the front. There are electrical shock stickers and if you remember what the back of old CRT TV's looked like then you will recognize all the shapes and detail). I turned it on to see if one or two TV's would light up. I was pleased to see all of them did!
Each TV set had a blurry image of one of the assassins from the game. Not trying to spoil anything but I gathered that from the pictures on the dossiers.
All in all I was very pleased and surprised with the quality of everything that came with this. The Joker is now proudly displayed with other trinkets I have collected over the years.
