Creative Juices

Two gaming related items I’m excited about this week.  First off I’ve just downloaded Flipnote Studio for DSi.  It’s very easy to use and I’ve had great fun with it so far.  I don’t think Pixar have anything to be worried about but looking at some of the other efforts people have uploaded show it has potential.  I particularly like the Pac-man at the movies short.  It’s certainly got my creative juices flowing although my early efforts need a certain amount of “refining”.

 

Second up is a game I’ve been looking out for for a long time: Xenosaga III on PS2.  I played through the first two and really enjoyed them. Although the story is a bit all over the place I still want to know what happens to Shion and co. I finally got a copy of the game from a guy in Canada on ebay.  It was a bit pricey at around €30 but I’ve wanted it since it came out.  Since I played the first two games on NTSC as well (I think only the second game was released in Europe) I’ll have to dust off and unbox my US PS2 to play this one. I’m hoping there will be some unlockables for having completed game saves for the Episodes I and II.

I haven’t played an RPG for quite a while so hopefully it will fit in with my current games regime which consists of squeezing an hour in after the kids have gone to bed. If not, I guess there’s always BF:1943…….
