Please Google to find specifics in your area, and enjoy.
Lunar Eclipse- The moon seems to disappear.
Solar Eclipse-The sun seems to disappear.
Both can be partial, or total depending on how well the earth, moon, and sun line up.
In a lunar eclipse, the earth is between the sun and the moon.
The moon gets lost in our shadow.

In a solar eclipse, the moon is between the earth and the sun. We can't see the sun, because the moon is in the way, like this,
Lunar eclipses are safe to look at directly. Solar eclipses are not.
Why present this so matter-of-factly? I am not good at science.
I think often those who know this info, present it in a torturous way to flatter themselves, and those don't know this stuff are too embarrassed to ask.
