The stove

Thank you for letting me share this. Props to Steve P. for taking the photo.

This is my stove now. The stove pipe fitting on top has already burnt through the high temperature paint. It has gone from new, rusted, refurbished, to worn.

Here she was before,

Decorating tips appreciated. I want to put a painting, or perhaps a Scottish flag above the mantle. I am not one who rushes in to fill a void. I would rather find something of true aesthetic, or sentimental value, than use anything.

Note the Yankee sword. No offense to my northern brethren. I also have the bottom of a WWI artillery shell, my grandfather converted to an ashtray. I use it frequently. I have a collection of pipes, some from my dad's navy days. If I am online, and not talking during play, I have fired up a bowl. Thank you again for looking at my priceless, twenty-eight dollar treasure. C

Decorating suggestion: Side by side B&W photos of Strom Thurmond and Al Sharpton.

Looks great so far C, not much of a decorator but charcoal or pencil sketches come to mind. Something like an 18th century a female peasant......mostly dressed for good taste,of course! :)

Nice job refinishing. Looks great. Wish I could help with redecorating tips, but I'm a little challenged in that area and would probably tell you to put something of value up and then have it burn.
