Veteran's Day.

For the American's here, it's a Holiday of rememberance for our Military, and those who helped serve in their own way. I spent numerous birthdays and holidays without my Mom because she was sent off to duty, but I am a lucky one. Why? She came home alive.

I am the lucky one, because my Grandfather was one of two surviving members of his Platoon in WWII. He came home with a Purple Heart, but he came home alive.

They served the country, risking their lives, and I am teary-eyed proud of them, and all in the Forces. Active, Retired, On-Leave.

Hang your flag, hug a Vet, we owe it to them.

Thank you.

Ps. I played World At War for my Grandfather while he was still alive. His eyes lit up, he laughed to himself, and began to tell stories of when he was in France, fighting. I'll never forget that...and the curses that flew from his mouth about the Japanese. Oy.

"If you don't stand behind our troops, feel free to stand in front of them."
