OKAY...the countdown has begun!  Official "Move Coulow's Shit" is 4th of July weekend.  A 3 day weekend for this American.


The foundation crack in the living room isn't as heart attack inducing as I thought.  Thank ye Gods.  A little mortar and an overlay will do the trick. 


My weekend, this weekend:


1)  Tear up baseboards.


2) Paint.


3) Flooring.  Yay for laminate and tile.


4) New door locks.  Screw you double bolt bastards!


5) Powerwash the pool.  Hire Pool Boy.

Next week is gonna suck, it'll be moving week.  This is hell week.  The break a nail, scratch yourself, and truly see if a couple will make the longhaul by use of a dolly and 50lb couches. 


So, for those who play with COULOW and duchee, the attendance lapse will start.....NOW!


 


I plan on being able to game only on Monday and Wednesday this upcoming week, and only if the Mr isn't too hard on me with the moving stuff.  I should have the house at 90% after this weekend. 


After that, a purchase of a new living room tv, gaming tv, and massage chair will be the final touches.  YAY!  And if anyone has any input on 50"+ TV's for my, er, OUR living room, please, share the wealth.  Is plasma better in grandiose scale?  Seriously, we have room for 50-60" here.  There's a sad ass projector tv there now, but it needs to retire.  My current gaming tv, LCD 37" (1080p HD)is going in the bedroom, and I'm getting a 20" LCD HDTV 1080p for the game room.  The smaller tv should be better for gaming, less area to visually cover.  The massage chair is just cause I'm no longer sitting on the couch gaming in the living room, we have an OFFICAL room of XBOX/PS love!

Good luck with the move. Just invite a bunch of people over promising a \"party\" with pizza and beer.\r \r On the tv thing, good freaking luck digging through stacks of reviews and specs. Seems plasma is better at black levels than lcd but lcd is somewhat cheaper. Hopefully someone with first hand knowledge can fill you in.

I just replaced my home theater and got a 58 inch plasma, receiver and speakers. I did a fuck-ton of research before hand. \r \r If you want to PM me your budget, I'll throw you some suggestions on what's out there right now.

Just have the pool boy tell you what is on tv while getting you a marg or whatever your favorite beverage is. Combining houses sucks, my wife and I did it, and seemed like it took forever. But the judge said to say I am happy I did it! Just kidding... (wait, did she hear me say that.... ) I gotta go!\r
