I was called in last night. 2 hrs after I left my 8hr shift! A water main broke on Tuesday, annihilating Nuclear Medicine camera 1, Part of the OR, Part of Endoscopy, 2 General Xray rooms, 2 ER beds, and our darling 64 slice Scanner. SO. We've been tooling on with a 4 Slice scanner. Last night, the hard drive shut down for 3 hrs. Hence, I was called in. Now, moi, the idiot according to the Supervisor, was the only one who could apparently use the 1985 Plasma Screen Single Slice Scanner to scan the ER patients. The evening shift was 4 hrs behind schedule. That's about 20 patients deep. Well, the scanner was jimmy rigged, I left to return today at 7am. The normal 7am Tech is out due to a loss in the family. I'm working her shift for the next week. Condolences to her and her family. I'm tired. Really tired. Glad I took Wednesday off, it was brutal that day supposedly. Constantly 3 hrs behind ALL day. Do I care? Not anymore. That place can suck my left tit. There are only 3-4 Techs/RNs that I actually trust at the joint! A night tech, a Radiology Nurse, the Tech on berevement, and my Lead Tech. Bout it. So. That's all. Now for some sitting on my ass, playing video games, and forgetting about how to use a Cat Scan machine. Ah. Weekends. Love em. COULOW out.
