A girl friend has come to me and asks, "Dee, oh Great Gaming Queen, I want to buy my boyfriend (age 34) a video game system.  Which one should I buy?"


I gave her personal opinion of PS3 vs Xbox and several hyperlinks of articles of the great debate.  I also gave her the link to 2o2p.  Gotta recruit, right?


Yours truly owns both systems (Halo Ed. Xbox360, Poor Man's 80g PS3), and offered sampling.


 


Any other mentions I should include to her before she makes the big Xmas decision?


 


(And NO TO Wii.  Sorry Nintendo lovers, they don't have kids, this guy loves UFC, Rum, off-roading, and is an ex-coworker.  I refuse to Wii him!)

the Mw2 edition of the 360 has 250 gb hd on it, so imo it is worth the extra cash.\r \r I also have an 80bg ps3, and if he likes to game with other people, he will have more chances of doing it with an xbox.

Instead of choosing a console for him, I would just tell him I'll buy a console of his choice. Let him choose which one he wants. These consoles can be a big investment for some people and would hate to see him a little disappointed on the inside because he got a PS3 and wanted an Xbox or vice versa. Although I'm sure he'll enjoy whatever she gives him. :)

I know if my 360 red rings again before the next generation I'll be a wii only guy. Out of the 3 major systems it has the most seriously grown up titles. The only way you would see me with a Sony paperweight would be to give me one.

Alas, the girlfriend decided.\r \r She's buying him a PS3.\r \r I think the Blu Ray player sold her, she's NOT a gamer and has the ability to watch movies now.\r :p\r \r Well, I'll get him Uncharted 2 as a bday gift. HA!
