They're milking their engine, that's true. And it isn't even a very good engine. Yet, Techland makes up for it with something that's for me magical.
After Riptide (which I have to wait for till it goes on a Steamsale), they're having two new projects on the cooker for us:
Hellraid: http://hellraid.com/
Dying Light: http://www.joystiq.com/2013/05/23/dying-light-adds-a-dash-of-parkour-to-techlands-zombie-tour/
Techland are also the dudes behind Call of Juarez. (The franchise I haven't played, lol)
I like Techland. They're different, but hey, their Polish.
On a different note, finally a developer from my homecountry is getting its products out there.

DreadOut is an Survival Horror game coded by an Indonesia based studio called Digital Happiness. Download the demo of DreadOut here: http://www.indiedb.com/games/dreadout/downloads/dreadout-demo
If you're on Steam, help them out by voting their game to be Greenlighted. We need more studios lifted from the muck of begging for money on crowdfunding sites, towards getting a publisher's budget and access to better tools. Or Just because they're indonesian and therefore cool. ^^
