Yesterday I got a chance to try DiabloIII with the latest patch, after the US saw half their toons destroyed while troubleshooting Blizzard's new patch. Thanks guys!

Seriously though, since all my HCs were in the graveyard anyway, I started a new wizard on normal and I have to say it feels better. Fights are more hairier now as I have to be mindful of the life-orb that seems to deplete faster, but the wizard also kills faster now.

Drops, the reason why people play DiabloIII are a bit too rare now... My wizard is still going around in superiors with just three blues, while she should be wearing 5 or 6 by now. I got lucky crafting a wand, so she's doing almost double dmg for what she should be able to with level-balanced drops 12.7 instead of 6.9/7.5/8.0

Frost-Nova is worth using now, as range and power has been improved significanly, even freezing rares and bosses in place. I'm looking forward to take this wizard to Inferno and to get to exploring the Paragon-system, as primarily a HC-player, I haven't had the chance to try it out yet.

Luckily Blizzard is done with focusing on gameplay, so people can finally plan out builds that last longer than a month. The focus is shifting to itemization, which is something that has been overlooked severely in the year that DiabloIII is old.

Maybe, just maybe, Blizzard will arrive at a game that can finally take the place of DiabloIILoD... I'm not entirely sure though...
