Skyrim.

 After getting my feet wet yesterday and looking around a bit, I decided to start over today and created a Nord girl. With all the Nords running around, I felt very out of place as a Redguard! She's a strong high-blonde with light blue eyes called Suldrun Hakonen, who after seeing her kinsmen getting beheaded on the order of an Imperial captain who's only desire seems to be the decimation of the Nord people, quickly took the side of the Stormcloaks.

Currently, Suldrun is recovering the Golden Claw.

Did I yesterday have my Redguard dual-wield, I decided to drop that idea in favor of a shield+sword combo, which allows me to block for one thing, and shield-bash for another. I have noted that battle is floaty and not very rewarding an experience. It may be that I don't have enough perks yet and Suldrun just plain suffers because of it -- I just don't know that yet. The Shield does help tremendously in the way that Suldrun is harder to kill now than that my Redguard was. But because of the lack of Perks bestowed on Suldrun, it's impossible for me to discern whether it is me (not for lack of trying, though!), or the game. Time will tell, I guess.

I'm pretty interested to see how Suldrun taking the side of the Rebels plays out. I have always been on the hand of the Empire, seeing as apart from being total glutons for war, they did unite Tamriel in the past. Going against the Empire is new for me and I'm wondering if there are chances where Suldrun can clean out Imperial camps, kill off Imperial patrols and so on. I'm looking forward to bring pain to the Empire!
