Having found out that there's a city called Whiterun, she takes Gendar up on notifying the Jarl of the fact that thar be dragons. The Jarl immediately takes a liking to her, believes anything she says and sends a contingent of soldiers to Gendar's village. Good man! Having already recovered the Golden Claw, the errand the Jarl has tasked her with was a snap, but then the Dragon appears. Thanks the Jarl's general and her soldiers, the dragon is overwhelmed and Suldrun absorbs her first dragon-soul. Dispatching the dragon makes her an overnight sensation in Whiterun and the Jarl elevates Suldrun to nobility.
So, what does a Noble do, you ask? Why, joining the Companions of course. The Companions are a weird lot. She merely has to ask to be allowed in and after roughing someone up for no other reason then the joy of roughing people up, she's send to recover a piece of the most prized possession of the Companions, the battle-axe of the founder of the society. Successful in her task, she becomes a full member of the Companions, but she found out something interesting -- The Companions are Lycans! Confronting the Harbinger, he has no choice to give her full disclosure. Suldrun can become a Lycan too, but first she has to go and rough up somebody else.
Suldrun, never the one to shy away from a good cat-fight, goes and roughs up her target, a sweet looking girl working a lumbermill. Upon returning to the Companions, she gets the chance to become a Lycan. How can she pass up on so much power? From here on out, Suldrun is a Dragonborn Lycan!
Right now, Suldrun is on her way to dispatch the leader of the Companion's mortal enemies, who's rather close by if it wasn't for the mountains forcing her to make a long trek around them...
=====
Suldrun is now level11 and I have to say that with Perk-allocation, battle has become easier. I have crafted Suldrun's leather armor and upgraded it. I also upgraded her Imperial Bow. All my battleskills originate from the sneak-tree though, so Suldrun is most deadly when operating out of sneak, but she lacks severely in the oomph-department when she's forced out in the open. It's something I have to address shortly. The reason why I focus on sneak so heavily is with an eye to the future, namely, the thieves-guild and the Dark Brotherhood.
Being a Lycan has pros and cons. The pro is that you're extremely powerful and 100% disease resistant (even when human), the con is that you can transform only once a day and unless you feed on the fallen, it is rather shortlived. Another con is that you won't get a good night's rest anymore, forfeiting the exp-bonus from sleeping in a bed.
Woodchopping is a nice activity. 6 blocks of firewood nets you 30 gold... dispatching a miniboss gives you like 18-25 gold! Yep, chop firewood for a minute and you can eat for a day and sleep in a bed! Nice!
