 XBL:

Six years of Gold came to an end today. 2011 in games was a huge contributing factor to that. Not one of the AAA games I looked forward to this year didn't disappoint. I generally felt cheated and taken for granted by studios as they unloaded turd after turd upon the masses. I finally can no longer stand the "They buy our shit anyway" stance of the industry. They marginalize the very people who throw money at them, and that very people in turn don't seem to care. Console gaming is in a downward spiral that in my opinion is so deeply progressed I'm better off returning to the PC. The only reason I hang on to my 360 is because of Rockband. I love me some plastic instrument tomfoolery and the music I have for the game makes me feel good. However, rumor has it that Madcatz will release new Rockband games only in North America, so eventually I'll be phased out. Should this be true than Madcatz will have made the decision for me on whether or not to buy a 720.

SWTOR:

Darth Cassiss... the Empire is not ready for this woman, I tell you! She isn't corrupted; she is corruption! Even Vette is slowly coming around to Cassiss' fits of murderous rage and wanton cruelty. And Vette gets her shocks on general principle. For a smart Twi'lek as she is, why doesn't she take Cassiss in a bearhug when she's about to get shocked? That'll teach the bitch! ROFL!!

Darth Cassiss destroyed the Revanites. Fools! They made a mockery of Revan's Legacy. Darth Revan was bested by Bastila and then the righteous Jedi destroyed her mind using the force and rebuild her in their image. Guess what happened in my KotoR game back then? The Republic burned when Revan found out. Pre-mindfucked Revan was slowly corrupted by Dark-Force and she (I played a Fem-Revan back then, and in my current replay too) embraced the power it gave her because it gave her the edge in the Fringe-wars. Post mind-fucked she was as light-side as ten obi-wans cluster-jerking princess Leia, until she learned of the crime the Jedi's did her. She returned to the Dark-Side, but not because of a slow corruption, but out of a pointed desire to see revenge. No matter the ethics involved, Revan's reaction was as base as a bottomfeeder. The Revanites were blindedly glorifying a common criminal. Revan's revenge might have been righteous, her vehicle to meet it was cowardice.

Darth Cassiss, a pureblood Zabraki Sith, saw Revan for who she was and the Revanites for who they are. Power merely for the sake of having it isn't power, as the leader of the Revanites demonstrates as she tries to entice Cassiss to help with a cowardly scheme to stop the Sith-Lord looking the end the Revanite Cult. Cassiss is nobody's bitch. Even Darth Baras learned this.

WoW:

I earned a handful of achievements on Haki so far. My focus on this new toon is not advancement or epixx. Been there, done that, boring! My focus is trying to get as many achievements as I can. I didn't join a guild with Haki, even though some of the guilds I was in over the years keep asking me to reconsider. Point is that they are not lvl25 guilds. Once I start entering the higher levels, finding a lvl25 guild will be easier, but truth be told, if it never happens it is not like my game is worthless. In WoW, the guild tends to play you and my experience is that I help my guildies more than that they help me. However fun that might be, I don't log on to a game to feel obligated.

At any rate, today is the day I break my routine for a little while to make a detour to IF. There are gifts under the big Winterveil tree. Free swag is free. I can't pass up on that!

Take it easy with the turkey today guys. Remember that turkey is poison, so mind yourself. =) Have an awesome good time with friends and family!
