Another of my early drawings

I actually did this one prior to the alien below.  I was learning shading, but hadn't given enough thought to the light source.  Notice that the shadows on the feet are going in a different direction than the ones on (and in) the cylinder.  I had also put in some "action lines" that don't really serve any purpose.

I'm heading off on vacation for a few days with the wife and kids, but when I get back, I'll start posting some of my better drawings as my skills improved.
