Shared on Mon, 01/21/2008 - 19:41I was out on CNN.com earlier today and saw this quote: "Analysts say black women never have held such power in determining the Democratic nominee for president. Black women are expected to make up more than a third of all Democratic voters in South Carolina's primary in five days. These women face a unique dilemma: Should they vote their race, or should they vote their gender?"
Is that really how we should chose our candidate? By his/her race or gender? I thought it was supposed to be based on whether he/she shares your ideology. Do white male democrats have the challenge of deciding whether to vote for Obama because he's a guy or for Clinton because she's white? FFS people, we're talking about who is going to run our country. I hope we can give this a little more thought than what's the color of their skin and do they pee standing up or sitting down.
